Obituary for Chester Clyde Coward
Chester Clyde Coward, 85, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma formerly of Borger, Texas passed away Friday morning, December 8, 2017 at Dorset Place Memory Care in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Chester was born on January 21, 1932, in Childress, Texas to W. W. and Sallie (Swafford) Coward. He met Ardena Prock in Hollis in February 1955, after he returned from service and after six months of courtship, on August 21, 1955, they were married in the home of Ardena"s parents. Moving to Borger, Texas, where Chester worked for Phillips Petroleum, they spent the next fifty-five wonderful years together until Ardena"s untimely death.
Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ardena Coward, and two great grandchildren, Alyssa Norman and MacKenzie Norman, he is survived by, three children, Tom Coward and wife Karen of Oklahoma City, Teresa Wiant and husband Randal of Ft. Collins, Illinois and Bart Coward and wife Teresa of Borger; six grandchildren, Ryan Coward of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Valarie Brazelton and husband Kevin of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Jarrod Norman and wife Erin of Ft. Collins Colorado, Shane Wiant of Greeley, Colorado, Michael Coward of Boger, Texas and Bradley Coward of Borger, Texas; two great grandchildren, Bailey Brazelton of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Jessica Wiant of Greeley, Colorado; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
