DANNY JONES
Danny Jones, age 80 of Hollis, Oklahoma and formerly of Carson City, Nevada, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Harmon Memorial Hospital in Hollis.
Danny was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on July 27, 1937 to his parents Clifford Earl Jones and Winnie Mae (Richardson) Jones. He grew up in Salinas, California where he graduated from Salinas Union High School. Not long after high school Danny married the love of his life Eleanor (Huddle) on July 27, 1958 in Carson City and they have enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage together. Danny worked in the automobile industry his entire life. He was a member of the Dodson Church of Christ and he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his great grandkids. Danny also enjoyed duck hunting with his dog Amos, and anytime spent hunting and fishing. Danny took pride in his grandchildren, Seth and Katy and their families and he always enjoyed visiting with his friends at the Hollis Meal Site.
Preceded in death by his parents and his cousin and best friend Jimmy Peel; Danny is survived by his wife Eleanor Jones; his daughter Jeanette Brookman and her husband Darin; two grandchildren, Seth Brookman and his wife Kary; and Katy Butchee and her husband Dillon; four great grandchildren, Hadyn and Cash Brookman, Boe and Josy Butchee; sister-in-law, Alberta Renfrow; his niece, Lisa Sears and her husband Mark and their children, Josue and Adam
There will be a Family and Friends Gathering at 1:00 pm on Saturday May 12, 2018 at the Church of Christ in Dodson, Texas.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Dodson Church of Christ in memory of Danny Jones.
Arrangements are under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
