Abner Turner Waller, 91, long time resident of Eldorado, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 1995. Abner was born November 3, 1903, in Mindon, Louisiana, the son of the late James Thomas and Jenny (Barber) Waller. He moved to the Eldorado area in 1924 from
Louisiana. On April 8, 1926, Abner and Sarah Lavesta Helms were united in marriage. Abner farmed for over 20 years, until his retirement in 1965. He was affiliated with both the Corinth Baptist Church and the Eldorado First Baptist Church.
Abner was a man who loved nature and love to spend time outdoors. He was happiest while working in his garden or sitting on a creek band with a fishing pole in his hand. He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and brother
Abner was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by Lavesta, his wife of 69 years; two sons, L. C. Waller of Edinburg, Texas; two daughters, Alene Adams of Eldorado, Oklahoma and Geneva Proffitt of Lakeview, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchilddren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
