Obituary for Ada Brown
Ada Brown was born October 17, 1917 at Paris, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Johnny and Minerva (Williams) Young. She passed away Thursday, October 2, 1997 at Fremont, California. She had been a resident of Altus and Jackson County over 50 years before moving to Fremont, California. She had worked as a cook for many years. She was a member of the Sunset Baptist Church.
Funeral services is scheduled for Friday, October 10, 1997 at 1:00pm in the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home .
Survivors include three daughters; Doris Washington of Fremont, California, Lou Ida Murry of Lebanon, Tennessee, Barbara Ann Charles of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; three sisters, Mabel Twitty of Denton, Texas, Ferline McFrazier of Englewood, California, and her sister Elisa. Other survivors include eleven grandchildren, and a host great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Eva Lois Wingfield, two brothers; Allen Young and Earl Young.
