Addie M. Ford


Addie Markham was born August 31, 1899 at Lead, South Dakota. She died August 9, 1993 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She married George W. Ford and he preceded her in death in 1957. She was a long time resident of Altus and Jackson County having resided here
since 1942. She worked at the Nursery at the First Baptist Church for a number of years.

She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Altus. Services are scheduled for 11 am Thursday at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. Melvin mood officiating. Interment will be in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Survivors include husband, George W. Ford of Altus, Oklahoma; children, Byron Ford of Altus, Oklahoma; Mrs. Glen (Maxine) Ford and husband Glen Ford of Odessa, Texas; thirteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, George W. Ford, 1957, two sons , Geroge P. Ford in 1981, Merritt John Ford in 1986, daughter June Milhiot in 1993.
