Graveside services for Alfred William Schmiedel, 65, of Altus are scheduled for 1:00Pm Wednesday, January 8, 1997 at the Altus Cemetery. Sonny Tims will officiate. Mr. Schmiedel was born July 6, 1931 in Smithport, Penn. to Harold and Virginia (Splen) Schmiedel. Mr. Schmiedel was a retired Tech Sargent from the Air force, having served in Korea and Vietman. Mr. Schmiedel married Dorothy Chadwick on February 4, 1983 in Vernon, Texas. She preceded him in death. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his children; step-daughter Christy Standridge and Ken of Blair, Oklahoma; four grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, wife, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
