Alice Marie Kirby, 78, of Altus died at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital Thursday morning. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am Saturday at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel officiated by rev. Melvin Moody. Burial will be in the Hess Cemetery.

Born November 16, 1912 in Tillman County she was the daughter of the late T.H.. and Ellie Steen. She was the wife of the late Joe H. Kirby. She was a long time resident of Jackson County having resided here since 1913. She was a member of the Hess Baptist Church.

Mrs. Kirby is survived by one son Carrol Kirby, Kemp, Texas; brother, Herman Steen, Eldorado, Oklahoma; sisters, Lillian Brunson, Altus, Oklahoma; Dorotha Lovett, Altus, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Judith Ann Wells; Vicki Kirby; Karl Rock Kirby; six great, grandchildren;

Mrs. Kirby was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Kirby, two sons, Cloyce Ray Kirby and Jackie Hall, mother and father.
