Alice Marie (Hale) McGough,71, of Granite, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020 in Granite, Oklahoma.
Alice was born in Poteau, Oklahoma on April 6, 1948 to Jessie and Joy (Autrey) Hale. She attended Broken Bow High School and Virgil’s Beauty College. Alice met the love of her life Tim McGough and the two married on April 19, 1965 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma; of this union they had four children; Heath, Kenny, Timberly, and Angela.
While raising their family, they lived in so many wonderful towns where they had the honor of pastoring before finally landing at the Assembly of God in Granite, Oklahoma.
Alice was a devoted pastor’s wife and music minister.
She also worked as a hairdresser, teacher, worked for H&R Block.
Alice was a member of the Assembly of God Church, The Church of God, and she and Tim enjoyed going to the Christian Motorcycle Association pastor retreat every year. Alice had a passion for women’s ministry and dedicated a large part of her life to helping other women in their spiritual journey.
She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, going to Branson and to church. Alice’s biggest joy was her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her fur babies.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Mother and Father-in-Law, Jim and Marie McGough, Sister-in-law, Melba and husband Clarence Freeman; Sister-in-law, Margaret Ellen McCain; Sister-in-law, Patricia Ann McGough; grandchild, Timmye DeAn; and great-grandchild, Jase Thomas.
Alice is survived by her husband, Tim McGough; two sons, Heath and wife Kimberly McGough, and Kenny and wife Ariana McGough; two daughters, Timberly and husband Charles Grant, and Angela and husband Shawn Carr; Brother, Randy and wife Susan Hale; Sisters; Vicky Hale Birdsong, and Lisa Horton and husband Bobby; Ten Grandchildren, Kensley and wife Keeley Grant, Alex Grant, David and wife Misty Carr, Cheyenne and husband David Green, Sebastian Carr, Heather McGough and James Gallup, Leeum McGough, Dirk McGough, Kruz McGough, and Everly McGough; Nine great-grandchildren, Aylin, Chanson, Urijah, Preston, Logan, Branson, Blake, Kaitlin, and Matthew; Brother-in-law, Kim McGough and wife Karren, and Brother-in-law, Gary McCain; Aunts, Ruth Hale and Violet Matson; Uncles, Lonnie Hale, James Hale, Jim Hale, and Alpha Hale as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the Granite Assembly of God Church.
Graveside services will 2:00 p.m. Friday, February, 21, 2020 at Pine Top Cemetery in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are under the direction of Greer Funeral Home, Granite, Oklahoma.
