Obituary for Allie Groves
Allie Pinkey Groves, age 91, passed away November 22, 1983 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Her husband, E.L. Groves preceded her in death in 1943. They had resided in Jackson County since 1907. She attended Southside Baptist Church. She was born in 1892 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to Oscar Gibony and wife. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Claudia Weirick.

Allie Groves is survived by three sons, Oscar, Wichita Falls, Texas; Earl, Rush Springs, Ok; and Jesse, Lubbock, Texas;10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Services for Allie Groves will be Wednesday, November 23, 1983, at Southside Baptist Church under the direction of Tims Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Altus Cemetery.
