Alta Fay Johnson, 76, of Altus died Sunday at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Services are pending with the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Mrs. Johnson was born August 10, 1915 in Russell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs Frank Smalling. She married Clyde C. Johnson January 11, 1936 in Gould, Oklahoma. The couple moved to Altus from Gould in 1950, where Mrs Johnson was still living. She was a member of the Highland Heights Methodist Church of Altus.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by two children, Gayle Deere, Altus, Oklahoma; Sue Baker, Altus, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Steve Baker, Lubbock, Texas; Cheryl Moody, Olustee, Oklahoma; Lisa Myers, Bartlesville, Oklahoma; three great-grandchildren Justin Moody, Olustee, Oklahoma; Dylan Myers, Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Sara Baker, Lubbock, Texas.
