Alton "Typhoon" Evans, age 62, of Martha died at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital Monday. Services have been set for Thursday at 2:00pm at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Martha Cemetery under the direction of Lowell funeral Home.

Evans was born April 26, 1928 at Martha. He was the son of Albert and Lois Evans. He was a Veteran of Korea serving in the Army and was a Farmer and Trucker.

Survivors includes two children, Patricia Evans of Blair and Winston Mark Evans of Martha. Also surviving are four grandchildren.
