Alvie Lee Ables age 66, of Altus, Oklahoma died March 8, 1982 at his home on Elm Street in Altus.
Alvie was born March 6, 1916 in Tennessee to Jim and Tennie (Cheek) Ables. He married Willie Elizabeth, she preceded him in death in 1971. Alvie had been a resident of southwest Oklahoma for the past 20 years. He was a member of the Thomas Street Church of Christ. Alvie was a retired carpenter before retiring.
Funeral services for Alvie Lee Ables are scheduled for Wednesday, March 10, 1982 at 2:00pm at Thomas Church of Christ, Altus, officiated by Stan Bratcher. Burial will follow in the McKnight Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Alvie Lee Ables is survived by five daughters, Norma Parrish, Irving, Texas; JoAnn McLane, Dallas, Texas; Donna Sosebee, Panhandle, Texas; Jody Steadham, Altus, Oklahoma; June Dorsey, West Palm Beach, Florida; one brother, Edgar Fite, Childress, Texas; two sisters, Daisy Wasson, Fritch, Texas; Violet Landford, Altus, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
