Obituary for Alvis Ruth Rumbo
Mrs. Alvis Ruth Rumbo, age 75, died Tuesday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Eldorado First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Don Ladner and the Rev. Bill Mease officiating. Burial will be in Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born June 6, 1906 at Athens, TX, she married Jack Rumbo June 6, 1906 at Childress, TX. He died in March of 1971. She was a member of the Eldorado Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Peggy Rumbo of Lubbock, TX; three sons, Bobby Ray of Arlington, TX, Cozell of Houston, TX and Roy of Eldorado; two brothers, Erskine Brownlow of Houston, TX and Guy Brownlow of Conroe, TX; three sisters, Mrs. Euna Denton and Mrs. Willie Gosset, both from Eldorado and Mrs. Mairl Kirk of Lubbock, TX; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
