Alyssa Dawn Cooper was born to Scott Cooper and Crystal Payne on October 23, 2008, at Children"s Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Alyssa was considered a gift from God for the short time her family had her. She came into the world as a fighter and was known around the family and staff at the hospital as a miracle baby. With her family knowing she was a special gift they enjoyed Thanksgiving holding her, loving her and just marveling over how precious she was. As the days went on she began to fill out and began to develop her own personality.
By God decided He needed her and she left this world on Thursday, December 18, 2008. Even though her family is grieving and feeling the void, they know God only loaned her to them and that she will never be sick again.
She left behind a lot of family who loved her. Her parents Scott Cooper and Crystal Payne, a brother and sister, Angelita and James, her grandparents, George and Kim Ramirez, J.C. and Sandy Ferguson, Karen Cooper Ferguson and husband Johnny, all of Mangum, great grandparents, Buddy and Roberta Ferguson and Peggy Payne of Mangum, aunts and uncles, Chez Estraca, Georgiana and Blake Ramirez and Kasey Ferguson, great aunt and uncles, Robert and Leona Ferguson, Susan and Jeremy Denton, LaVonda and Wayne Fennell, Billy Ray and Tammy Payne and many cousins. She was preceded in death by grandpa Bill Cooper and great grandpa J.L. Payne.
Funeral services for Alyssa Dawn Cooper will be at 2 p.m., Monday, December 22, 2008, at The Church Triumphant with Pastor Shawn Johnson and Pastor Shawn Laughlin officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
