Amber Aviles, age 41 of Altus, passed away Wednesday morning, December 7, 2016 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Amber was born in Fort Worth, Texas on July 13, 1975 to her parents Eugene Berry Johnson and Debra (Linnell) Carpenter. She grew up in Bridgeport, Texas and Euless, Texas. On July 11, 2014 she married Filiberto Aviles in Altus and she had worked at Jims Smoke Shop for several years. Amber enjoyed listening to music, planting and working in her garden, being around animals, but above all else, Amber treasured her family and her children were the most important to her and she will be missed very much.
Preceded in death by her grandparents, William R. Linnell and Christine Tharp; Amber is survived by her husband Filiberto of the home; her father Eugene Berry Johnson of Texas; her mother, Debbie Carpenter of Texas; and her stepfather, Ron Carpenter also of Texas; three children, Christian Pelfrey, Sky Pelfrey, and Destiny Umbarger all of Altus; one brother, James Johnson and wife Wendy of Texas; as well as numerous other family members, nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Celebration of Life services will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Healing Water Church, 1105 South Navajo in Altus, OK 73521.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
