Obituary for Ana Gabriela Velazquez
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Ana Gabriela Velazquez, who left this world on December 22, 2025, at the tender age of 19. Born on January 30, 2006, in Altus, Oklahoma, Gaby's vibrant spirit was a gift to all who knew her.
Gaby was the beloved daughter of Victor A. Velazquez and Juana Gabriela (Martinez)Velazquez. She was her daddy's cherished princess, for whom he would move mountains, and her mother's lively joy, who kept life beautifully busy and full of love. Her bond with her brothers was unbreakable; she was their fierce protector, their constant supporter, and an ever-present source of love.
A proud 2024 graduate of Altus High School, Gaby was no stranger to hard work. She lent her energy and smile to the 580 Bar and Grill, Chavez, Our Little Kingdom, and Chick-Fil-A, where she dedicated a year of service. But her dreams were as strong as her spirit. With determined eyes set on the future, she was preparing to explore a path in the industrial sector, eager to join her brothers in Ironwork Construction. She was ready to build, to explore, and to prove her toughness in a new arena.
To know Gaby was to know the rhythm of her heart: music. It was her compass, her passion, and her escape. The anthems of Rod Wave and Bad Bunny pulsed in her soul, while the storytelling of Parker McCollum and Cody Johnson spoke to her. The vibrant beats of Spanish and Norteña music would inevitably move her to dance. Cruising around Altus, with the music loud and the night long, was her idea of heaven. She lived for concerts, for the shared energy of a crowd united by song. Yet, this vibrant social butterfly also cherished her quiet sanctuary, often hibernating peacefully in her bedroom, recharging for her next adventure.
Ana was, in the most loving sense, "a handful" a whirlwind of spirit, determination, and affection. She was tough yet deeply loving, independent yet fiercely loyal. She lived loudly and loved completely.
Gabby, was preceded in death by Paternal Grandpa, Javier Velazquez, Maternal Grandmother, Maria del Carmen, and Uncle, Jay Lee.
She leaves behind a symphony of memories for her heartbroken parents, Victor and Juana; her brothers; Randy Lee Martinez, Jason Atchley, Jr. Justin Ray Atchley, Victor Alfonso Velazquez, Jr., Hector Javier Velazquez, martial grandfather, Jesus Martinez paternal grandmother, Irma Lucio Flores, her sunshine and joy were her nephews, Victor Hassan Velazquez, Enzo Atchley and nieces, Catalina Martinez, Yahara Atchley, Amara Atchley, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a wide circle of extended family and friends who were touched by her fiery, beautiful presence.
While her physical song has ended, its melody will forever play in the hearts of those who loved her. May she dance forever to the music she loved, on a cruise with no end.

The Velazquez family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home Chapel, Altus, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home Chapel, Altus, Oklahoma with interment to follow at Altus City Cemetery, Altus, Oklahoma.
