Obituary for Anna Brink
Anna Lorraine Brink, age 65, of Altus, Oklahoma, passes away on Friday, January 13, 2006 in Oklahoma City after a long-term illness.
Lorraine was born on April 20th, 1940 in Jellico, Tennessee to Raymond and Mahala (Conley) Jones. Lorraine married LTC (RET) Ronald H. Brink on February 27, 1960 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Before her passing, Lorraine and Ron enjoyed forty-five wonderful years of marriage.
Lorraine and Ron moved to Altus in 1995 from Okmulgee. They were an Air Force family and lived in many communities during Ron's career. Everywhere Ron and Lorraine lived she took care of the home and the family that she deeply loved. Being involved in every activity that her children were engaged in she ran concessions at youth sports, was a cheerleader mom, a Boy Scout den leader and a Girl Scout leader. Lorraine cared about people and was a full-time volunteer for the American Red Cross for over ten years at Fort Richie, Maryland and Blytheville, Arkansas. She was also a member of the Jaycettes.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Helen Jones. Survivors include her husband LTC (RET) Ronald H. Brink, daughters; Rhonda Lynn Wells and husband LTC Thomas Wells of Eastampton, New Jersey, Nancy Marie Stone and husband Robert T. Stone of Dover, Pennsylvania, son; LTC Randy Brink and wife Colleen of Wichita, Kansas, brothers; Raymond C. Jones, Jr. and wife Eunice of Marietta, Georgia and Larry Jones and wife Gloria of Knoxville, Tennessee, three sisters; Betty Lou Swearengin and husband Darrell of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jane Garner and husband JB of Louisville, Tennessee, and Katherine Williams and husband of Knoxville, Tennessee. Grandchildren include; Andrew Jared Wells, Stephanie Renee Wells, Jessica Brink, Kevin Brink, David Brink, Thomas J. Stone, Jonathan R. Stone, and David K. Leibensperger.
Funeral services for Lorraine Brink will be held will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, January 16, 2006 at First Methodist Church of Altus with Reverend David Player officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 18, 2006, at Fort Sill National Cemetery at Elgin Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tim's Funeral Home.
The family of Lorraine Brink will greet friends Monday, January 16, 2006 from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm at Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
