Obituary for Anna Mae Payne
Anna Payne, age 79, passed away Wednesday, August 7th, 1996, at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 1996 at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C. W. Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Prairie Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Mrs. Payne was born May 1, 1917, at Wayne, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Conrad and Maude (Evans) Chadwick. On June 19, 1957, Anna and Virgil Payne were united in marriage at Vernon, TX. They made their home in Olustee where they remained for over 35 years. Anna was a member of the Olustee First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Virgle Lee Payne of the home; nine children, Beverly Ivy and husband Gene of Aumsville, OR, Gayle Powell and husband Doyle of Grandbury, TX, Dale Johnson and wife Judy of Zephor Hills, IL, Ronnie Mobley and wife Tammy of Olustee, OK, Alton Mobley and his wife LaQuita of Granite, OK, Connie Payne and wife Sue of Altus, OK, E.L. (Snooks) Payne and wife Lilo of El Paso, TX, Claud Payne and wife Daphine of McDavid, FL and Lavonne Hansen and husband Tom of Sepulveda, CA; one sister, Helen Locke of Fresno, CA; 33 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; a twin sister; one brother; two sons.
