Obituary for Annie Belle McCoy
Annie Belle McCoy, age 88, a longtime Hollis, Oklahoma resident, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Annie was born in Brownfield, Texas on May 15, 1931 to her parents George Dicky Couchman and Jewel Talva (Chesney) Couchman. As a young girl Annie's family moved to Harmon County Oklahoma where she was raised. She attended the Ron Community Schools where she graduated from Ron High School. Annie worked as a waitress and later went to work at the nursing home in Hollis where she was a cook and for many years she took care of the laundry. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Hollis and she really enjoyed being a part of her church family. Annie was known for her talent and skill with embroidery and she placed with high honors at numerous local fairs throughout the years. Annie enjoyed cooking and she loved taking care of her family and she will be missed very much.
Preceded in death by her parents, Dicky and Jewel Couchman; two brothers, John Couchman; and George Couchman; and her sister Arlene Moore; Annie is survived by her two sons, William "Bill" Charles McCoy of Hollis; and Robert "Bob" Luther McCoy of Amarillo; her brother, Charles Couchman of Lindsborg, Kansas; her sister-in-law, Sara Couchman of Amarillo; as well as her nieces and nephews; other family members, and many friends.
The family will greet friends at visitation from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday evening, March 12, 2020 at the Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, March 13, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Hollis with Pastor Glenn Alley and Pastor Ron Ledbetter.
Interment will follow services at the Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
