Obituary for Annie Mae Hartman
Mrs. Annie Mae Hartman, age 71, long time resident of Altus, died Sunday morning at Fresno, CA from an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church, officiated by the Reverend Perry Clay. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born September 18th, 1902 in Minden, LA, she was married in 1919 to the late Will Crook, who died in 1972. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Willie Mae Carson of Altus and Minnie Vaughn of Fresno, CA; two sons, Eddie Lee Crooks of Stockton, CA and Ozell Fountain of Brawley, CA; three brothers, Nora Young of Grant, OK, Fred Smester of Lawton and Will Smester of Arizona; four sisters, Carie Methna of Grant, OK, Mary Williams of Lawton, Alene Williams of Tipton and Exia May of Arizona; five grandchildren.
