Annie May O'Shields Ansted was born July 5th, 1873 in Richmond, Texas to H. J. and Charlotte (Wainscott) O'Shields. She passed from this life on June 27th, 1964 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma. Annie was married to Robert Ansted who preceded her in death November 28, 1958. She had lived in Jackson County 74 years.
Mrs. Ansted is survived by six daughters: May Grey of Rancho Cardova, California, Bertha Ramsey and Oleta Rasmussen both of Dallas, Texas, Beatrice Luth of Sacramento, California, Vesta Armstrong of Duncanville, Texas and Ellen Hicks of Riverside, California. Four Sons: Lee Ansted of Durant, Oklahoma, Truman Ansted of Elizabeth, New Jersey, Lloyd Ansted of Elmer, Oklahoma and Brady Ansted of Johnson, Kansas. One Sister, Mrs Sink Elsner of Santa Cruse, California.
Services for Annie are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 29, 1964 at the Olustee Church of Christ with John McClaren officiating. Interment will follow at the Boggy Cemetery with Tims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
