Archie Griffith Scarbrough age 63, of Altus, Oklahoma died September 19, 1967 at Memorial Hospital in Altus, Archie was born November 3, 1903 in Everman, Texas to Issac and Elizabeth (Roberts) Scarbrough.
May 2, 1947, Archie married Frances Knox in Humphreys, Oklahoma. He had been a resident of Oklahoma since 1918. Archie was a barber, working for Ron Shaffer the past five years.
Services for Archie Scarbrough are scheduled for Thursday. September 21, 1967 at 4:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, Altus, officiated by Rev. Gene Garrison and Rev. Noel George. Burial will follow in the Victory Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral.
Survivors include his wife, Frances of the home; two sons, Bob Scarbrough, Altus, Oklahoma; Don Scarbrough, Marvell, Arkansas, one-step son Jerry Knox, Miami, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, two brothers, Jess Scarbrough, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; James, Altus, Oklahoma; one sister, Bess.
