Graveside services for Aretha Violet Lafitte, 80, formerly of Altus will be at 9:30 am Thursday at Altus City Cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lafitte was born March 29, 1913 in Formosa, Kansas to Clayton Purcell and Martha Ann Powers. She married Leese Laitte. They lived in the Altus area during the 1930's. In more recent years they resided in Houston, Texas.

Survivors include her husband Reese Lafitte; children, Patsy Saves of Long Island, New York; Mary Castle of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by three sisters; two brothers; and parents.
