Aubrey Stirman Walker was born September 1st, 1918 in Gainsville, Texas to Don and Janie (Mitchell) Walker. He passed away February 3rd, 1969 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, Altus, Oklahoma at the age of fifty years, five months and 2 days. Aubrey had been a resident of the area since 1933.

Aubrey graduated from Altus High School in 1936 and from Southwestern College in Weatherford, Oklahoma in 1946. He was a member of the Lions Club and the Chamber of Commerce. He was a music teacher and played in several bands and was the band director at Roosevelt, Oklahoma and for many years played in the band for the Kiwanis Mistral.

Services are scheduled for February 6th, 1969 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Methodist Church with Rev. Lonzo Battles officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery with Tims Funeral Home in charge.
