Obituary for Beatrice Louise Card
Beatrice Louise Card, Altus resident, passed away on February 23, 2022, at the English Village Nursing Facility in Altus, OK. She was 79 years old at the time of her passing. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home, Altus, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2022 at Warren Church of Christ, with interment to follow at Warren Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to the care of Lowell- Tims Funeral Home & Crematory in Altus.

Beatrice was born on January 19, 1943 in Paris, Texas and was the eldest of nine children H.M. Neal and Martha Louise (Kates) Neal. She grew up in Paris, Texas and Sherman, Texas area. At a Beatrice went to work in the cotton fields, pulling cotton. She also lived in Friendship, OK and Warren, OK., where she was a long-time member of the Warren Church of Christ.

On September 28, 1962, Beatrice married A.J. Card in Altus, OK. She began work in the health care field as a CNA. She worked for Jackson County Memorial Hospital and for Altus House Nursing Home in the 1970's before retiring in 1978 and devoting herself to being a homemaker.

Family was the most important thing to Beatrice. She loved cooking for them and spending time with them creating memories. On a deeper level, Beatrice devoted to her family. She enjoyed personal activities like sewing and reading books, but she also liked going to the lake, finding good buys at yard sales. Exploring and taking long, scenic drives with her husband, A.J., visiting with her grandchildren, a moments of peaceful prayer were the times she truly cherished most.

Bea was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Card, her brother, Ray Neal, and her parents H.M. and Martha Neal.

She is survived by her son, Robert Card and his wife, Cynthia; two daughters: Debra Hodge and husband, Robert; and Mellisa Snyder and husband, Michael; her siblings: Sharolette Rilley; Betty Sue Banker, Roberta Morishner, Joann Thomas, Bill Neal, Johnny Neal, Frank Neal; Sisters in law, Betty Hayes, and Chiyoko Card. Her grandchildren: Crystal Card, Jason Card, Ra'chael Kelley, Chadd Card, Jacob Snyder, Jared Snyder, Justin Hodge and Leslie Jameson; her great-grandchildren: Jason Card Jr, Lilly Card, Dakota Card, Dixie Card, Lexie Card, Nova Rae Card, Brooklyn Kelley, Landon Kelley, Amarra Byington, Adyson Card, Haven Card, Destiny Danner, Journey Danner, Addyson Hodge, Jaxon Hodge, Twilla Hodge and Payton Hodge; as well a host of other relatives, neighbors, and friends.
