Bennett Hayes Wilson was called home to be with Jesus on December 18, 2025, at OU Children’s Medical Center, just three days after his precious life began. Though his time on earth was brief, Bennett’s life forever changed the hearts of those who loved him and left an immeasurable imprint that will never fade.
Bennett was a beautiful gift from God, fearfully and wonderfully made, and deeply loved from his very first breath. In his short time here, he knew nothing but warmth, love, and the arms of his family. While our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort in knowing that Bennett is now whole, healed, and cradled in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal great grandparents and his cousin, Brantley Coker, who we know welcomed him with open arms.
Bennett is survived by his loving parents, Brittany and Jacob Wilson; his sister, Payton Wilson; his brother, Branson Wilson; and his twin brother, Baylor Wilson. Baylor will forever carry a special bond with his twin, a connection formed before birth and held for eternity. Payton and Branson will always be Bennett’s big sister and big brother, charged with sharing his story, honoring his memory, and carrying his love with them throughout their lives. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Teresa Dugger of Erwin, Tennessee, and Allen and Carla Coker of Elmer, Oklahoma; paternal grandparents, Larry and Beverly Wilson of Altus, Oklahoma; aunts and uncles, AJ and wife Krista Coker of Longview, Texas; Kevin and Nacole Coker of Roanoke, Texas; Brandon and Autumn Coker of Blair, Oklahoma; Cassi and husband Christian Kneisel of Altus, OK; Devon Cox of OK; and Jaramie Wilson of Michigan; along with several cousins who will forever hold Bennett close in their hearts.
Though we grieve deeply, we cling to the promise of God’s Word—that we will see Bennett again. Until that day, he will live on in our hearts as a reminder of God’s grace, the preciousness of life, and a love that knows no bounds.
“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me… for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’” — Matthew 19:14
