Bertie Strother age 86 of Martha, Oklahoma died December 26, 1969 at Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma. She was born February 6 1883 in Whitesboro, Texas to the Fancher's.
She married N. B. Strother January 2, 1909, he died October 5, 1968. Bertie had been a resident of Oklahoma since 1906.
Funeral services for Bertie Strother are scheduled for 2:00pm Sunday December 18, 1969 at the Baptist Church, Martha, Oklahoma, officiated by Rev. Dale Rogers. Burial will follow in the Martha cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Bertie Strother is survived by two sons, W.W. Strother, Lawton, Oklahoma; B. M. Strother, Big Spring, Texas; seven daughters, Mrs. Jewel Mitchell, Martha, Oklahoma; Mrs. Opal Eskridge, Martha, Oklahoma; Mrs. Hazel Johnson, Oakland, California; Mrs. Pearl Morrisette, Memphis, Texas; Mrs. Wade Eskridge, Overland Park, Kansas; Mrs. Rutt Gadd, Memphis, Texas, Mrs. Lela D. Mennealy, Norwalk, California; eleven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
