Obituary for Bessie Hankins
Bessie Hankins, 75, passed away Friday, October 13, 1995, at her home in Eldorado, following a lengthy illness. Services have been scheduled for 10am Saturday at the Eldorado First Baptist Church with Rev. Melvin Moody and Rev. Kenny Wrubel officiating. Interment will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims funeral Home.
Bessie was born April 6, 1920 in Caney, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late William Oliver and viola Joan (Simpson) Nix. She had lived most of her life in the Jackson County area. Bessie was a member of the Eldorado first Baptist Church. She had worked as a hostess for over 29 years at the Tims Eldorado Chapel.
Survivors include her husband R.A. "Pup" Hankins of Eldorado; children Millie Loveless and Frank of Watonga, Oklahoma; Faye Chenault of Eldorado, Oklahoma; Dwight and Judy of Eldorado, Oklahoma; brother, Doyle Nix of Seminole, Oklahoma; sisters, Birdie Houser of Thishimingo, Oklahoma; Mary Gayle McLaughlin of Tishimingo, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, 4 brothers Roy, D.A. Leonard and Alfred Nix, 1 sister Lola Tigert.
