Obituary for Bessie Lee Mahan
Bessie Mahan, 90, of Altus died Friday at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. services will be 10:00am Monday at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Bob Maxey, associate pastor of the First Baptist Church of Altus. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, 100 East Tamarack.

Mrs. Mahan was born September 14, 1900. She married William Harlon Mahan. He preceded her in death in 1984. Mrs. Mahan was a retired school teacher and a member of the First Baptist Church of Altus.

Mrs. Mahan is survived by her nephew and his wife, Mr and Mrs. Delbert Smith of Bella Vistia Arkansas.
