Obituary for Beulah Anne Onan
Anne B. Onan, 68, of Duke, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at her residence.
Anne was born November 21, 1939, in Amarillo, Texas, to J.H. and Vera (Allee) Bennett. She graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1958. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Amarillo.
Anne married Charles Onan July 15, 1963 in Clovis, New Mexico. To this union, two daughters, Dana and Tammy, were born. Together they shared five children.
Anne spent many years helping Charles with the family farm and managing a local business. She enjoyed fishing with Charles, working in her yard and spending time with her family. Her greatest treasures in life were her grandchildren.
Her parents and one brother, Durwood Bennett, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Charles, of the home; one brother, Granville Bennett of Oceanside, California; daughter, Dana DeSapio and husband Noel of Cedar Park, Texas; daughter, Tammy Brooks and husband Greg of Granite, Oklahoma; daughter, Caleen Boatright of Austin, Texas; stepson, David Onan and wife Patty of Sarasota, Florida; step-daughter, Terri Smith of Sarasota, Florida; seven grandchildren, Christina Onan, Brittany Garrison, Ashton Garrison, Brandon DeSapio, Kirby Brooks, Brady Brooks, Tracy Boatright; four great-grandchildren, and a little boy who held a very special place in her heart, Dillon Onan Herron.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Center of Southwest Oklahoma.
