Bill Fox
Bill Fox was born January 4, 1909 in Jackson County. He died March 21, 1993 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He married Mary Turner January 10, 1962 at Vernon, Texas.
He was the son of John Calvin and Minnie Fox. He owned and operated a cafe in Altus for many years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a life long resident of Jackson County and Altus.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 am Tuesday at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. Melvin Moody officiating. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends and visitors Monday evening from 7 pm-9pm at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include wife, Mary Fox of the home; children Wanda Lankford and runt of Altus, Oklahoma; Linda Odell and John of Birmingham, Alabama; Kay Smith and Alvin of Birmingham, Alabama; Dale Fox and Evelyn of Big Springs, Texas; Bartley Fox and Shirley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; step-children, Vivian Lamb and Jimmy of Lubbock, Texas; Raymond Minatrea and Karen of Houston, Texas; Kenneth Minatrea and Sandra of Pampa, Texas; brother Arlist Fox, of Altus, Oklahoma; sister, Nan Borden of Altus, Oklahoma; eighteen grandchildren, numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, one brother, Fred Fox and two grandchildren.
