Obituary for Bill Ingram

William "Bill" Ingram, age 85, a resident of Altus, Oklahoma and longtime manager for the Albert Brothers Budweiser Sales Distribution, passed away at his home in Altus on Saturday, May 15, 2021.

Bill was born in Caddo, Oklahoma on July 29, 1935 to his parents Robert Lee Ingram and Bonnie Beatrice (Endsley). Bill was raised in Atoka, Oklahoma and he was drafted into the United States Army in 1960 during the Vietnam Era and he received an honorable discharge. After his service in the Army, Bill went back home and married the love of his life Sadie Christena Byrum on January 6, 1964 and they enjoyed forty years of marriage together. Bill and Sadie settled in Altus where Bill had a few jobs and then he went to work for the Albert Brothers Budweiser and managed the operations there for many years until he retired. Bill was an honest man and would always be ready to help someone that needed it. He enjoyed going on family vacations, reading, building things. Bill treasured time spent with his family and especially his grandkids and he will be missed very much.

Preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Bonnie Beatrice Ingram; his wife Sadie Christena Ingram; stepson, Micheal Ray Wiseman; stepdaughter, Sharon Collins; three brothers, Lawrence, Warnie, and Homer; infant sister, Nettie Jean Ingram; two sisters, Fern Kellogg and Rachel Tyler.

Bill is survived by two daughters, Rina Payne of Altus; and Judy D. Ingram of Altus; stepdaughter, Teresa Higginbotham; four sisters, Gracie Simmons and her husband Bill; Frances Burnett and her husband George; Bonnie Fouts; and Sherry Staneart; eleven grandchildren, Angelia Mason, Tanesha Johnson, Marinda Calloway, Tena Ingram, Angel Baartman, Bobby Payne, Micheal R. Duke, Donald Duke, Diana Benivamondez, and William Chance Ingram; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Keith Byrum as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and many friends.

Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Bill Ingram.

The family will greet friends at visitation from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday evening, May 21, 2021 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Chapel in Altus.

Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by the United States Army.
