Obituary for Billie Dale Scott
Billie Dale Scott, 39, of Blair, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, March 10, 2008, at Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton.
Billie was born May 28, 1968, in Tulare, California, to Billie Herman and Bonnie Lee (Burns) Scott. After the passing of his mother when Billie was very young, his father married Lucille Guinn and she became the loving mother who raised him in Farmersville, California. Billie graduated from exeter High School in 1987. He married Teresa Holt January 25, 1992, in Farmersville. They moved to Blair in June of 1996 and Billie went to work for Kay electric in Altus for four years. After leaving Kay Electric, he went to work for the Blair Public School System as a maintenance supervisor, where he was employed until his death. Billie was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being involved in the 4-H program with his children. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blair.
Billie is survived by his wife, teresa of the home in Blair; three children, Billie Dalton Scott, Faith Ann Scott and Braylee Dale Scott all of the home in Blair; his mother, Lucile Scott of Visalia, California; one sister, Kimberley Spohn and husband Ralph of exeter, California; their children, Ralph Spohn III, Rebekah Spohn, Caleb Spohn, Josiah Spohn, Randy Spohn and Ryan Spohn; two step-brothers, Wayne Qualls and wife Connie, Marvin Qualls and wife Glennis and one step-sister, Regina Shelton and husband Wayne, all of California. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, step-nieces and nephews, and a host of friends
Billie was preceded in death by his father, Billie Herman Scott in 2005, his biological mother, Bonnie Lee Scott in 1973 and his grandparents, Edward and Ona Scott.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for the family has been set up at First State Bank of Altus and the Blair School System.
Funeral services for Billie Scott will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 14, 2008, at the Blair High School Gym with reverend Randy Mitchell, Reverend Jim Wiley and Reverend Ralph Spohn II officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-tims Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends on Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
