Billy Fred Craig
Billy Fred "Tobe" Craig was born to Fred and Ethel Craig, September 6, 1927, in Ravia, Oklahoma. They moved to Pauls Valley when Bill was a baby. He went to school in Pauls Valley where he played football. Bill joined the army after high school, serving from 1946 to 1948. He married Bernyce Reeves in January of 1950. They had three children, Debbie, Brent, and Becky.
Bill worked for Wackers Variety Stores, moving to Altus in 1969. Bill was active in the Salvation Army and was an active member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was very active in all church activities.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Betty Craig, and granddaughter, Lori Kay Stout.
He is survived by his wife Bernyce, of the home, their children, Debbie and her husband Jim Stout of Altus, Brent and Nancy Craig of Irving, Texas, and Becky and her husband Dennis Chisum of Valley View, Texas; grandchildren, Jamie and Barry Wilkins, Craig and Sarah Stout, Courtney and Rob Wallace, Douglas Craig, Philip Craig, Nichole Craig, Billy and Jami Chisum, Dylan Chisum, and two great- children, Destiny and Trinity Chisum; three brothers, Jack, Ted, and Dick Craig, and four sisters, Virginia, Boots, Nancy, and Bert.
