Obituary for Billy Robert Henry
Services have been set for Billy Robert Henry, age 63, an Educator, Farmer/Rancher, Jackson County Superintendent of Schools and life long resident of Jackson County.
Services will be Tuesday, February 5th at 2:00 P.M. at the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ, with Bill Osborne officiating assisted by Wayne Price. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Lowell Funeral Home.
Mr. Henry died at his cattle operation in Southern Hughes County near Calvin, OK. Born November 24th, 1921 on a farm southwest of Altus to Tom and Willie Ray Henry. He married Wanda Sue Fails on August 14, 1952. Bill graduated from Victory School, west of Altus, then attended Oklahoma A&M and Cameron, receiving his B.A. at SW State University and his Masters from Fort Louis College, Durango, CO. As an educator he was Principal at Eldorado Public Schools, Central Jr. High, Altus and he also taught at Grace Mont, Oklahoma and Quanah, TX. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include: his wife, Wanda Sue, of the home west of Altus; his mother of Olustee and two sons, Jim Bob of the home and Jerry Don of Olustee.
