Obituary for Blanche Potts
Blanche Potts, age 89, long time resident of Jackson County died at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 7th, 1992.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Headrick officiated by Rev. Noel George. Burial will follow at the Headrick Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Born November 17th, 1902 at Cheek, OK, she was the daughter of F.B. and Charlotte Potts. In 1904 they moved to Quanah, TX. She returned to Oklahoma and settled in Tillman County, north of Tipton in 1905. Later she moved north of Headrick where she graduated from Headrick High School in 1920. She was active in the First Baptist Church in Headrick and served as it's secretary and treasurer for many years. She taught in the Youth Department, was Counselor for the G.A.'s, was active in the Farm Women's Club and exhibited produce, baked goods and canned goods in the Jackson County Fair. Blanche was employed at the Headrick Telephone Company where she operated the manual switchboard.

Survivors include: several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; three brothers; three sisters.
