Obituary for Bob Oakley
Bobby "Bob" Rhue Oakley, age 70, Altus, Oklahoma resident, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 at his home in Altus with Hospice Care.
Bob was born August 21, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas to the late John and Hazel (Baldwin) Oakley. He moved with his family to Altus, Oklahoma in 1966 and graduated in the class of 1970 from Altus High School. Bob began college at Western Oklahoma State College in Altus and left briefly for service in the National Guard. He returned to Western Oklahoma State College where he was a member of the first baseball team at WOSC. Fifty years later he was inducted into the WOSC Hall of Fame along with his teammates. He married Liz Anderson on July 4th, 1992.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Glenda Gail Vann.
Survivors include his wife, Liz Oakley; sister, Suzy Brock and husband, Tony of Moultrie, Georgia; sister, Brenda Beauchamp of Altus, Oklahoma; as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will greet friends at visitation Tuesday evening, December 6, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Altus with Pastor Doug Altom officiating.
Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
