Obituary for Bruce Vance Hyde
Bruce V. Hyde, 81, passed away Friday, January 20, 1995 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He was born May 23, 1913, in Altus, the son of the late J.M. and Nancy Jane Hyde.

He married Robbie Mendenhall, March 29, 1947 at Lubbock, Texas. He served in the US Army in World War 11.

He was a lifelong resident of Altus and Jackson County. He worked for 43 years at the Ford Dealership in Altus. He served Altus & Jackson County as a City Councilman from 1980-1985. He served as a board member for the Museum of the Western Prairie. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and had performed various volunteer work in the Altus Community.

He was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Altus, where he served as Usher and was active in Fellowship Sunday School Class.
