Obituary for Carl Berg Jr.
Former Altus resident, Carl Berg, Jr. age 55, of Vernon, Texas was born October 7, 1941, in Sacramento, California, the son of Carl and Dorsey Lee (Allen) Berg. He was raised by his grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Allen. Carl passed away Friday, August 22, 1997, in grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha, Oklahoma after a sudden illness. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, August 25, 1997 in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Odell Andrews, Vernon Texas officiating. Burial will follow in the Lone Wolf Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, in Altus, Oklahoma. He previously had worked in maintenance at the Vernon State Hospital. Carl enjoyed Fairs and Flea Markets where he worked as a vendor.
Survivors include his his wife Lynelle Berg of the home; father; Carl Berg of Sacramento, California; children Kimberly Mullican and husband Floyd of Tennessee, Barbara Cothran of Vernon, Texas; sisters Donna Smith of Altus, Oklahoma, Brenda Yetter of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma Linda Johnson of Round Rock, Texas; six grandchildren, Jonathan Mullican, Sari Mullican, Allison Morton, Benjamin Cothran, Symantha Cothran and Sheila Cothran and a host of nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his mother, Dorsey Swafford; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs Bill Allen.
