Obituary for Carl Eddie Willeford
Carl Edward "Eddie" Willeford, 87, of Altus, passed away Friday, August 10th, 2012 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Eddie was born September 18, 1924 at Olustee, OK to Carl and Mae (Watson) Willeford. He married Mary Elliott on May 6, 1957 in Altus where they raised their three children, Edwina, David and Craig. They had 55 wonderful years together.
He spent his entire life farming and driving a truck, both of which he enjoyed. He was a very hard working man with quite ways. Eddie was a wonderful husband and father and was a devoted member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elliott Willeford of the home; three children, Edwina Willeford and David Willeford, both of Altus and Craig Willeford and wife Marina of Enid, OK; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Alexandra. Also surviving are one sister, Adelia Hughes of Olustee, OK; one brother, C.E. Willeford of Amarillo, TX; a brother-in-law, Bill Hicks; two sisters-in-law, Edith Elliott and Esther Godwin; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Mass has been scheduled for 10:00 am, Monday, August 13, 2012 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Reverend Joseph Sundar Pudota officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Sunday evening at 7:00 pm in the Lowell-Tims Chapel.
