Obituary for Carl H. Heien
Carl Heien, died at his home Saturday evening, December 13 1986, after a long illness, at the age of 92 years, eight months and 28 days.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, at Lowell Memorial Chapel with The Reverend John Welch officiating. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born in Olathe, Kansas, March 16, 1894, to Herman and Kathrine Heien. He moved to Roosevelt, OK as a young man. He married Ruby Burton January 4, 1924 at Hobart, OK. They moved to the Consolidated Eight Community, near Roosevelt where he farmed and was the manager of the Gin. After retirement in 1965 Carl and Ruby made their home at 1020 North Lee in Altus, Oklahoma. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the AARP, American Legion and was a Veteran of World War One. He served in Company M of the 90th Division in France and Germany and was in the Army of occupation for eight months after the Armistice.

Survivors include: his wife, Ruby Heien of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty June and Arthur Brunhuber of Altus and Elizabeth and Gene Wheeler of Colorado Springs, CO; four grandchildren, Tommy Brunhuber of Altus, James Brunhuber of Miami, OK, Brent Wheeler of Lafayette, CO and Brenda Wheeler of Sunnyvale, CA; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Heien of Amarillo, TX and Elmer Heien of Snyder, OK; several nephews and nieces, including Bonnie Merrick of Altus, OK.
