Obituary for Carlos Herbert Brewer
Carlos Herbert Brewer Carlos Herbert Brewer of Eldorado, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2000 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma., at the age of 79. Carlos was born May 22, 1920 in Lincoln (Jackson County) Oklahoma, to Will and Bessie (Norman) Brewer. He graduated from Eldorado High School and later worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for two years before joining the United States Navy during World War II. After returning from the war in 1946, Carlos returned to his job with the railroad. Several years later he moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico where he owned and operated an automobile dealership. He later took a job with Malco Oil and Gas in Farmington, New Mexico. In the late 1960's, Carlos moved back home to Eldorado where he had a hog farm and owned and operated his own oil and gas brokerage firm. Carlos in survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Annice and Morris Wilson of Farmington, New Mexico, several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Bessie Brewer, his son Gary Brewer, in 1960, and three brothers, Cecil Brewer, Norman Brewer and Billy Brewer. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, May 4, 2000 at the Eldorado Cemetery with Rev. Ken Coleman officiating. Viewing an visitation will by at Lowell Tims Funeral Home in Altus of Wednesday, May 3, 2000 from 9 AM to 9PM and Thursday to the Lowell Tims Chapel in Eldorado from 8:00 AM until service time.
