Obituary for Carol Pauline Wright Hurd
Carol Pauline Wright Hurd, 77, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at her son’s residence in Tifton. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Mrs. Hurd at a later date. A public memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., July 8, 2020 at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home Chapel in Altus, Oklahoma.
Born November 12, 1942 in Hutchinson, Kansas, Mrs. Hurd was the daughter of the late Oliver M. Wright and Ula B. Haney Wright. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arlan “Gene†Hurd; and one brother, Conard “Connie†Lee Wright. She graduated from Hutchinson High School and worked as a teller and bookkeeper at Hutchinson National Bank in Hutchinson, Kansas and National Bank of Commerce in Altus, Oklahoma. She loved her cats and she loved to take cruises and motorcycle traveling with her husband and friends.
Mrs. Hurd is survived by her children and their spouses, Scott and Patricia Russell of Tifton, Vicki and Daniel Churchman of Albany and Lisa and Scott Knoll of Holcomb, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Lauren Russell, George Boen, Russell Rhea, MaryCatherine Stalvey, Branee Knoll, Remmi Knoll and Ethan Knoll; one great-grandson, Oliver Rhea; a sister-in-law, Lois Wright; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
