Carolyn Sue Mason was born April 19, 1943, at Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late James Herman and Willie Mae (Chastain) Sanders. She passed away September 3, 2000, at Altus, Oklahoma.
On April 26, 1972, Carolyn and Jodie Don Mason were united in marriage. Mr. Mason preceded her in death. Carolyn was a homemaker and had been a resident of Altus for the past six years, having moved here from Florida. Her life revolved around her family as a loving and devoted mother and "Mee-Maw".
Carolyn is survived by four sons and one daughter, Joe and Lisa Mason and Carl and Pam Mason, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: Richard and Sharon Mason of Altus, Oklahoma; and Mike and Robin Mason of Phoenix, Arizona; Rena and Kerry Evans of Altus, Oklahoma; fourteen Grandchildren, Chad, Clint, Connor and Brooklyn Mason; Colby and Chase Mason; Blake, Bradley, and Brittany Mason; Kaleb and Kassidy Evans; Lakin, Joe Don and Beau Mason.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Rita Kay; and by five brothers.
Services for Carolyn Sue Mason are scheduled for Wednesday September 6, 2000 at the Lowell Tims Chapel at 11:00 A.M.. Interment will follow at the Vamoosa Cemetery at Bowlegs, Oklahoma at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
