Mr. Carrel Monroe Banister, age 75, 804 Hickory, Altus, died October 6, 1976 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services have been set for 2:30 P.M., Saturday, First Assembly of God, with the Reverend Carl McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Born June 13th, 1901 in Mangum, OK, he married the former Linnie Stephens in Mangum on October 11, 1922 and he had lived in Altus for 38 years. He was self-employed for Banister Plumbing for 52 years in Mangum, Hobart and Altus. He also belonged to the Woodmen of the World.
Survivors include: his wife, Linnie of the home; three daughters, Lois A. Duddell and JoAnne Ladd of Altus and Nadine Winters of Lawton, OK; two sons, Sonny Banister of Altus and Bob Banister of La Marque, TX; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Audie McCann of Killeen, TX; one brother, Willard Banister of Ft. Worth, TX.
