Cecil Monroe Watson was born April 11th, 1902 in Denton County, Texas to Albert and Eula (Hill) Watson. He passed from this life March 29th, 1967 at the age of 74 years and 11 months, leaving his wife Anna Bell Worthington Hill of 13 years to morn his passing. Cecil was a Jackson County Commissioner, District 1 for the past 13 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus, Oklahoma.
Cecil is survived by his wife of the home, one son, Roy L. Watson of Dallas Texas, two daughters: Mrs. Doyle Casey of Washburn, Texas and Mrs. Don Helmers of Lubbock, Texas, five brothers; Bud, Crockett, Don, Dave and Roland all of Texas and seven sisters; Dovie Moore, Massie Callon, Helen Rutherford, Nona Huens, Oris Mc Call, Pearl Wright, and Mary Davis all of Texas. Also surviving are grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and lots of friends.
Services for Cecil Monroe Watson are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 31, 1967 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Garrison officiating. Burial will be in Denton, Texas under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
