CELIA REYES
Celia Reyes, age 67 of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Celia was born in Big Wells, Texas on March 3, 1951 to her parents Lorenzo Perez Sr. and Brijida Maldonado Perez. She graduated from Olustee High School and attended the Southwest Technology Center. Celia Worked as a seamstress for Kellwood and pursued secretarial work with the Department of Human Services. She enjoyed working as a cook’s aide with Southwest Oklahoma Community Action Group’s Senior Nutrition Program and later retired to become a homemaker. On April 24, 1993 she married Armando Reyes Sr. in Altus and they enjoyed almost 25 years of marriage together. She enjoyed playing Bingo with her best friend Gloria, she enjoyed cooking and baking, but most of all, Celia treasured spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo Sr. and Brijida Perez; two brothers, Ricardo Perez, and Saturino Perez; two sisters, Delores Sanchez, and Guadalupe Briones; Celia is survived by her husband Armando Reyes Sr. of the home; two sons, Eduardo Prieto and wife Traci of Fort Mill, South Carolina, and Armando Reyes, Jr. and wife Kristy of Fort Worth, Texas; five daughters, Mia Kuehne and husband James of Fortson, Georgia, Brigida DeLaRosa and husband Sebastian, III of Fort Worth, Texas, Amy Reyes and David Jackson of Altus, Lisa Huerta of Altus, and Angelica Reyes and Andre Bradford of Altus; two brothers, Robert Mesa and wife Cherry of Michigan, and Lorenzo Perez and wife Maryann of Olustee; one sister, Mary Garcia of Olustee; eleven grandchildren, Selena Stanfield, Ayshlei Huerta, Javon Bostic, Celeste Reyes, Matthew Kuehne, Janessa DeLaRosa, Jalysa DeLaRosa, Josiah Hixson, Caleb Hixson, Sebestian DeLaRosa IV, and Audemar Bradford; her best friend Gloria Huerta and her buddy Mathew Huerta; as well as a host of other family members, nieces and nephews, and many friends.
The family will greet friends at visitation form 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 25, 2018 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel in Altus.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Richard Reyes and Pastor Bryan Walker officiating.
Interment will follow at Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
