Obituary for Charles Dick Smith
Funeral Services for Charles "Dick" Smith, age 60, longtime resident of Altus, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 1994 at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery with Rev. Len Gipson officiating and under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Smith was born December 12th, 1933 in Altus to Sam and Ola (Shipley) Smith. Mr. Smith had served in the Navy and was currently a carpenter.
Survivors include: his Mother, Ola (Shipley) Smith of Altus, Oklahoma; two children, Darrell Smith and wife Lisa of Altus, OK and Charles Smith, Jr. of Georgia; two brothers, Bobby Smith and Gene Smith, both of Altus, Oklahoma; three sisters, Jo Ann Chester, Linda Hernandez and Barbara Blankenship, all of Altus, Oklahoma; one grandchild, Michelle Smith of Altus, Oklahoma; his ex-wife, Judy Smith of Altus, OK; step-son, Wesley of Altus; several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Sam Smith; one son, Ben David Smith; one sister, Sue York; one brother, Junior Smith; one sister, Wanda Houston.
