Obituary for Charley Love Vinyard
Mr. Charley Love Vinyard, age 82, of Olustee, OK, died on Friday, December 6th, 1968 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at Tims Chapel, Sunday, December 8, 1968, 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Howard Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Vinyard was married to the former Mary Dickson March 25, 1926 in Elmer, OK. He had lived in the Olustee community since 1896. He was the Director of the Farmer's Union in Olustee.
He is survived by: his wife, Mary, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Weldon Johnson of Wichita Falls, TX and Mrs. Millie Martin of Altus; two sons, Leon Vinyard of Las Cruces, NM and Gilbert Vinyard of Inglewood, CA; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three brothers, S. H. Vinyard of Altus, Fred Vinyard of Ada, OK and Ralph Vinyard of Charlotte, TX; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Burton of Purdy, MI and Lucy Russell of Hemet, CA.
