Charlie Jackson Nix age 83 of Olustee, Oklahoma died November 18, 1964 at Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma. He was born July 9, 1881 in Rome, Georgia to General Harrison and Margaret (Head) Nix. Charlie married Dovie Lewis in Katy, Indiana December 24, 1905. He was a member of the Elmer Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and operator of a service station. Charlie had been a resident of the Altus area since 1926.
Funeral services for Charlie Jackson Nix are scheduled for November 21, 1964 in Tims Chapel at 2:00pm officiated by Rev. Roy Canada and Rev. Carl Stout. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Charlie Jackson Nip is survived by his wife Dovie of the home in Olustee; six daughters, Mrs. Ethyl Colletti, San Gabreil, California; Mrs. Lois Canada, Altus, Oklahoma; Mrs Cora Pillow, Chillicothe, Texas; Mrs. Charla Sherman, Bell, California; Mrs. Dorothy Hanley, Lynwood, California; Mrs. Imogene Buckman, Lawton, Oklahoma; two sons, Cloud J. Nix, Ridgecrest, California; Chester E. Nix, Pontace, Indiana.
